Thanksgiving 2010

Thanksgiving is my favorite holiday. One of the reasons that I get frustrated with all the Christmas hoopla is because I think “society” is trying to bypass Thanksgiving… Enough ranting, though. We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. The company was great, the food was top-notch, the weather was fine and the Patriots played and won. Who could ask for anything more? I got a little camera-happy that fine day and here is a sample of some of the pictures.

My beautiful wife and I.

What a spread!

After supper we had a tickle fight.

It's a sort of new tradition to take a walk in the woods to look for pretty leaves after our Thaksgiving meal. Here's Pop walking in the woods.

This is such a cute picture. I wish I had focused the camera better.

Halloween 2010

Noah was Mater and Autumn was Dorothy when we went to a Halloween festival at a local church.
Here is Autumn and I at a Krispy Kreme eating contest.

This was Halloween night. Autumn was Belle and Noah was still Mater.

2010 Dixie Classic Fair

October was a great month. Along with Maria's birthday and our anniversary, the Dixie Classic Fair also took place in October. We always have fun at the Dixie Classic Fair and this year was no exception.

The Krispy Kreme Burger - a new tradition???

I got to take on my friend Jake in a sumo match at a fall festival back in October. My kids said that I lost. Maybe next time, Jake...

Columbus Day at Hanging Rock

Since I had the day off for Columbus Day and no one else did, I went for a hike at Hanging Rock State Park. It was an awesome daycation. Below are a few pictures.

Children's Miracle Network Car Show

Food Lion in Burlington held a car show back in October to raise money for the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN). Since the proceeds would go to Duke Children’s Hospital, they invited Noah and I to come share our story and let everyone see a local family that had been helped by CMN/Duke Children’s. It was a big event and it was right up Noah’s alley – those who know Noah know that he is a car guy! The organizer made a Noah’s Pick trophy and below is a picture of Noah standing in front of the 1973 Dodge Charger that he picked as his favorite.

Autumn's Fall 2011 Soccer Season

Sorry, I've been neglecting the blog for a few months... Autumn played soccer for the Jamestown Youth League's Green Gators team again this fall with Coach Ausitn and quite a few of her friends. It was a banner season with an awesome team. The followoing pictures were taken in September.

Autumn was #44.
